Swimming Pools

With an infinity edge that seems to merge with the blue horizon, our freshwater swimming pool is one of the largest in the Maldives. Surrounded by a large sun deck, it features chaises longues for comfortable lounging. Attendants are ready to provide a fresh towel or a cooling spritz of mist. Pool service and a swim-up bar provide refreshments.

Alternatively, The Serenity Pool, located at the southern tip of the island adjacent to the Reef Club restaurant, this sweeping 395-square-metre (4,252-square-foot) free-form pool is a sanctuary open exclusively to guests aged 16 years and above. Ringed by a spacious wooden deck, the pool offers tranquil loungers and daybeds, an over-sea whirlpool and night-time swimming in a secluded beachfront location.

Diving

Immerse yourself in enormous shoals of butterflyfish and oriental sweetlips; drift the channels with white tips, hammerheads and whalesharks; descend deep sea ridges with eagle rays, giant napoleans and blue marlin; spot turtles at dawn, dolphins at dusk and mass seasonal gatherings of manta rays; or marvel at the "weird and wonderfuls" that inhabit the vast reef-formations and unique Maldivian thilas. Exhilarating sites include vibrant thilas, exciting channels, coral-filled overhangs and fascinating wrecks.

Water Sports

The Water Sports Centre offers a wide range of group and individual activities to suit all age groups and interests. Non-motorised activities such as kayaking and windsurfing are complimentary. Motorised activities such as water skiing and parasailing are available for an applicable charge.

The lagoon on the island's sunrise side is shallow and home to coral reefs, making it ideal for snorkelers. On the sunset side, the water is deeper and ideal for swimming.

Surfing

A dedicated surf school with professional surf instructors offers escorted surf sessions and clinics for experienced surfers as well as lessons for beginners.

Gym

The Gym is a state-of-the-art fitness facility featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, full-length mirrors, a surround-sound music system, fitness equipment and the latest cardiovascular machines with individual flat-screen televisions.

Big-game fishing

Reel in a big tuna, sailfish or mahi mahi from the 16.7-metre (55-foot) High Flyer, a sport fishing boat designed especially for big-game fishing on the high seas. Unmatched by any other boat in the area, the luxuriously furnished High Flyer features an 81-centimetre (32-inch) flat-screen television, surround-sound MP3 music system and other advanced amenities. Set lunches are served on-board. Guests may choose a full-day (eight-hour), or half-day (four-hour) charter package.

Excursions

The Resort offers a wide variety of short, half-day and full-day guided excursions, as well as engaging activities such as cooking classes and marine talks.

Robinson Crusoe adventure by seaplane

Imagine spending a day on a deserted, palm-fringed tropical island with family or friends. From Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, take a seaplane to a small, postcard-perfect island surrounded by a vibrant coral reef and a shallow, sandy lagoon. As our staff prepares a barbecue, you may snorkel, relax or stroll around the island in total privacy. At the end of the day, the seaplane will fly you back to Kuda Huraa in time for your evening meal.

Island picnics

A private cruiser takes you across the atoll for a picnic on a small island or a sliver of sand, lost in an azure sea – the perfect setting for a romantic celebration or a family day out. Snorkel amongst brilliantly coloured corals, go fishing or simply relax in the shade of your tent.

Marine Discovery Centre

Opened September 2011, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa's Marine Discovery Centre (MDC) is an interactive research and education centre that introduces guests and local school children alike to the role we can each play in conserving the local and global marine ecosystem.
